This Crockpot French Dip recipe is protein-packed, full of flavor and easy to make. The perfect dinner for a cold night!

Ingredients

  • 23 pound rump roast (or chuck roast)
  • 1 tsp each salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershine sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 a medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Sub buns
  • Sliced provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan (or crockpot if you have a saute function).
  2. Season roast with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Sear roast for 3 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
  4. Deglaze pan with Worchestershire sauce.
  5. Add garlic and onions and saute for 5 minutes.
  6. Place onions and roast in a crockpot.
  7. Add beef broth and seasonings and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  8. Remove roast and shred using 2 forks.
  9. Pour juice into small saucepan. Bring to a boil and let reduce for 10 minutes.
  10. Place shredded meat on buns. Top with cheese. Place under broiler until cheese is melted.
  11. Serve with sauce for dipping.
