Apple Crisp Without Oats

This apple crisp without oats is the perfect fall dessert! Delicious cinnamon apples with a buttery crumble topping.
5 –6 cups diced apples – Honeycrisp works best! (approx 5 apples)
Juice from half a lemon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 –2 Tbsp brown sugar – depending how sweet your apples are
1 tsp cinnamon
8 Tbsp unsalted butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a bowl, combine your apples (they should be diced fairly small) with lemon juice, vanilla, brown sugar and cinnamon and stir to combine.
Pour apples into a 9×9 pan.
In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt with cold, cubed butter.
Use a pastry blender or two knives to cut butter into small pea-sized crumbles.
Pour flour mixture over the top of the apples.
Bake for 30 minutes.
